Description

The Yakima PowderHound SE ski and snowboard mount holds up to 4 pairs of skis or 2 snowboards or a combo. A big red, glove-friendly button opens every time, and the PowderHound SE has awesome binding clearance. If you're serious about powder, you probably own fat skis, and this rack accommodates both fat and skinny boards. A new softer compound rubber protects your boards and makes closing the rack easier. Fit the PowderHound SE to your factory rack using Mighty Mounts, and protect your precious quiver with SKS cores that lock the rack. No tools are required for installing this rack - not even a hex wrench or a screwdriver. The rack comes with simple instructions, and assembly is fairly intuitive. After snapping the plastic adapters around the base-rack bars, the PowderHound SE fits on top and attaches with two long bolts that screw in to nuts that can be tightened down firm without a wrench.

Powderhound connects directly to Yakima base rack round crossbars and Thule square loadbars. Also compatible on factory roof rack cross bars when used in combination with a set of four vertical or universal Yakima Mighty Mounts (sold separately; see accessories below).
Can even be used on car racks with very little spread between front and rear crossbars.
